Save the Environment with a Cup of Organic Coffee Beans

You may think it absurd to save the environment with a cup of coffee. However, if you dig much deeper into the roots of this heroic coffee, you will then realize the rationality behind.

Toxic wastes, irritants, pollutants—having all these mixed up to the air people breathe to live are very harmful not only to them but to the environment. Factories, plantations, vehicles, aerosol spray, and pesticides are the major contributors and because, more often than not, they are unavoidable, the whole world suffers and engages to much serious problems in the future. If not given proper attention, it will never be a safe place for everybody.

Now, what does it have to do with drinking coffee? The experts and the Department of Agriculture are working hand in hand to make better contributions in saving the environment. One of their foreseen solutions is the use of organics.

Certified organic coffee beans promote sustainability and health. As they are grown organically, it means that they are produced through sustainable farming techniques without the use of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers that may contain chemicals. The planting process also includes recycling and composting; thus, maintaining soil health and preserving the rainforest. Moreover, since the whole rotation puts emphasis on environment protection, it helps the ecosystem to maintain ecological processes, functions and productivity in the planet.

So, for instance, if there are 500 million people who enjoy coffee and love it organically, there are 500 million points in making the world a safer and a better place! And they are not only helping the world, but also their selves.

Because organic coffee beans are minimally processed without artificial ingredients, preservatives, or irradiation, it is a healthy way to enjoy coffee. Studies and research show that coffee, especially high quality and organic, has high potential of giving health benefits and prevention of many diseases. Aside from its ability to boost energy, it is also a good source of antioxidants which fight cell damage and aging and are known to help people lose weight as well. Aside from the aforementioned, organic coffee beans can also increase cognitive functions and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and certain cancers.

Coffee lovers will truly love it! The taste and the aroma of gourmet organic coffee are better, compared to non-organic. Unlike typical coffee beans that are grown on a large scale farm and uses direct sunlight for rapid production, organic coffee beans mature slowly in the shade without all the chemicals; hence, they have more time to increase their natural sugars and enhance their flavor. Similar to commercialized gourmet coffee, all you can get is the richest taste from the finest beans. And it is the soil, altitude, microclimates and the whole growing, grinding, and roasting process that influences the flavor.

Therefore, the next time you want to get more cups of coffee, why not try a coffee that tastes good, offers great health benefits, and is environmentally friendly. Enjoy every cup and be socially responsible. Make drinking organic a habit and the Mother Nature will be very pleased!
